About us
MyEmagination is founded and managed by four undergraduate business students whose studies focus around management, information systems, operations, finance, and economics. Along with their relationships in the local autistic community, they are expanding their knowledge by adding industry experts knowledgeable in: startups, autism, children’s publishing, autistic children’s book writing and illustrating to join us as advisors and story reviewers.
Our vision
MyEmagination aims to revolutionize the $1.6 billion children’s book market by combining technology and art to provide personalized eBooks. According to the National Autism Association, 1 in 88 children in the U.S. have a neural development disorder called autism. This condition hinders communication and general social interaction while triggering repetitive behavior and learning difficulties.
Our experience
Alexa is the main liaison for the team between Autistic parents and specialists. Rosie has extensive experience in the tools and software of photo and media production that will assist in the illustrations of the story. James is the financial manager for MyEmagination and oversees the financial operations. Manny's knowledge of the international market along with his bilingual skills makes him a key instrument in MyEmagination’s international expansion plans.
Our Goal
MyEmagination integrates tablet technology with highly personalized eBooks to provide therapeutic and enjoyable experiences for children with autism; seeing their favorite people, places, and toys in the story and illustrations allows them to engage with the lesson and learn more effective communication skills.
